R&D Engineer Security expert

Mission description
Within the R&D Department of Trusted Logic S.A.S (Gemalto group), a very dynamic and innovative company in Smart Card and related embedded systems, you will be in charge of participating to the securization of Smart Cards and NFC products. The main responsabilities are:

  • Define most adapted security strategy and algorithms to be used on the different smart card hardware, in order to achieve necessary security level with best possible performance.
  • Develop the low level code for security sensitive parts and cryptographic algorithms of the high security products.
  • Acquire and share knowledge relative to start of the art of embedded software and Smart Cards attacks, as well as understanding implementation of the attacks along security evaluations.
  • Contribute to secure certification processes (Common Criteria, EMVCo, ...)
  • Participate to the development of methodology processes and tools in order to improve confidence in security level of high security products.
  • Propose innovative product evolutions in relationships in the framework of exisitng standards

Profile

  • Good experience in embedded software development
  • High interest in computer science and software development technologies
  • Knowledge in embedded security and cryptography

Technical requirements:

  • Good expertise in Assembly language (C251, ARM), C and Java language
  • High interest in low level programming and security, with the capability to raise the challenges of developing code for highly secure embedded devices
  • Good knowledge in cryptography
  • Technical autonomy for defining architecture and implementing high quality embedded software.
  • Best if some smartcard platform-level knowledge: Java Card, GlobalPlatform, communication protocols...
  • Best if some knowledge in agile project management

  • Self-managed, rigorous, and methodical attitude

R&D Validation Engineer in embedded secure software

Mission description

Within the R&D Department of Trusted Logic S.A.S (Gemalto group), a very dynamic and innovative company in Smart Card and related embedded systems, you will be in charge of the validation of Smart Cards and NFC products and of the developement of related tools. The main responsabilities are:

  • Participate to the validation of products by developing automated test suites and managing validation campaigns;
  • Participate to the enhancement of internal tools used for product development as well as to the improvement of the tools delivered to customers;
  • Acquire high expertise in validation processes and smart card technologies to provide support to other departments of the company (R&D Services, Product Management, etc.) and to customers;
  • Bring technology and methodology innovations in the validation processes within a motivated and highly skilled team.
  • Propose innovative product evolutions in relationships in the framework of exisitng standards

Profile

  • Experience in embedded software development and/or validation
  • High interest in computer science and software development technologies
  • Capable of autonomy in project management

Technical requirements:

  • Good expertise in C and Java language (mandatory)
  • Some knowledge of validation and automated testing methodologies and processes

R&D Engineer in Embedded Secure Development

Job Description

Within the Trusted Logic R&D department (Gemalto group), a dynamic and innovative player in smart card and related embedded systems, you will be in charge of leading developments of smart cards and NFC products. The main responsibilities of the position are:

- Develop embedded code for secure smart card operating systems, with high levels of robustness, security, and performance;

- Acquire and share knowledge on the state of the art in efficient, robust embedded software developments and smart card standards;

- Participate in defining the best strategy and algorithms for each smart card hardware;

- Contribute to certification processes (Common Criteria, etc.);

- Participate in the development of methodology, processes and tools in order to increase trust in the quality and security of our products;

- Propose innovative product evolutions while following existing standards.

Profile

- Skilled in embedded software development (micro-controller ARM, c251);

- Interested in computer science, notably in robustness and security aspects;

- Autonomous and rigorous person who thrives in a dynamic and innovative market.

Technical requirements
