Bantry Technologies and Trusted Logic Launch
Their jTOP® maXim S@T and WIB™ Products

Prague, Czech Republic, April 25, 2006 - Bantry Technologies and Trusted Logic are delighted to announce that their jTOP® maXim product has now been enhanced with browsing capabilities featuring the most deployed and value-added browsers: SmartTrust™ WIB 1.3 and SIMalliance S@T 2004. After successful inroads into the 2.5G segment with their initial jTOP® maXim platform, these new products confirm the leadership of both companies in the development of independent SIM software.

What do these new µbrowsers bring to the SIM community?

The Wireless Internet Browser (WIB™) is regarded as a de-facto standard in the mobile telecommunication industry and is used by most of the major SIM manufacturers to certify their WIB-based cards. Established by SmartTrust in 1999, the WIB micro-browser is already embarked on over 500 million SIM cards worldwide.

The SIMalliance S@T solution is the only wholly standardised micro-browsing solution and a global standard pushed by the main smart card manufacturers worldwide enabling wireless access to dynamic Internet-based content on Phase 2+ handsets. The SIMalliance S@T is now used on over 80.1 million SIM cards worldwide, according to SIMalliance’ 2004 SIMalliance Market Status and 2005 Outlook.

Why offering these browsers in jTOP® maXim?

SIM-based value-added services, such as mobile banking or dynamic information on demand, relying on SIM browsing technologies are getting more and more popular. As independent SIM software providers, Bantry Technologies and Trusted Logic focus on delivering solutions adapted to the needs of SIM card manufacturers. Thanks to their modular approach, Bantry Technologies and Trusted Logic were able to implement both micro-browsers on their core jTOP® maXim product. The first releases, named jTOP® maXim WIB™ 1.3 and jTOP® maXim S@T are offered in 64K EEPROM on Infineon chipsets. 128K versions of the same shall be released in the second quarter of this year.

“The general availability of the jTOP® maXim WIB™ 1.3 and S@T products confirms Trusted Logic’s jTOP® fast positioning in all market segments calling for Java™, including telecommunication. With the integration of Bantry Technologies’ (U)SIM platform and value-added services such as WIB™ or S@T onto jTOP®, both companies are now in an ideal position to quickly respond to the evolving needs of SIM card manufacturers,” said Dominique Bolignano, CEO of Trusted Logic.

Both products have already been tested and approved in the field. “Considering the major historical differences between WIB™ and S@T live deployments, we are proud to have successfully passed SmartTrust™ and S@T validation with rather limited efforts” added Patrick Trane, CEO of Bantry Technologies. “We strongly believe that the flexibility of our jTOP® maXim products will help our partners develop and grow their businesses more quickly.”

Over the past three years, SIM card manufacturers have already benefited from the productive cooperation between Bantry Technologies and Trusted Logic, and the new mature jTOP® maXim products will sustain their confidence.

Bantry Technologies and Trusted Logic will attend the world largest SIM 2006 event in Prague, Czech Republic between the 25th and 27th of April, where both companies will have a joint booth. Trusted Logic and Bantry Technologies would be delighted to meet you there and present the unique jTOP® maXim S@T 2004 and WIB™ 1.3 to you.
